Wow it’s a busy week ahead, its great to see lots of events in the calendar to keep everyone busy.
On Saturday we have Clitheroe MC’s popular Dishforth Targa which is being run on the airfield. Representing the club we have an excellent turnout of members with Jon Dunning and Ben Harrison in the RS2000; Nick Pullan and Henry Carr in the Peugeot 205; Neil and Claire Raven in the MX5; Peter and Sarah Clegg in the Vauxhall Corsa; Andrew Johnson and Dave Boyes in the Ford Fiesta; John Bird and Simon Bentley in the Ford Focus ST170; David Mosey and Louise Richardson in the Vauxhall Corsa; Kevin and Toby Lomax in the MX5.
Wrapped up warm and marshalling are Ian Mitchell, Stephen Lancaster & Ian Canavan. Thank you for your support and anyone else who will be braving the cold helping to make this event run smoothly.
On Saturday evening Ann Dixon is attending The Association of North East Midland Motor Clubs Awards evening in Doncaster where she is receiving her award for winning Class 3 navigator in the stage rally championship. Well done Ann!
Sunday brings the York MC autotest at Eastmoor Airfield. Gary and Mandy Ross have their new Peugeot 206 convertible out on its maiden voyage; Neil Raven is in the MX5; Claire Raven is in the Austin mini (GM); Stephen Waddington and Poppy Holmes are in the Fiat Panda; David Ruddock in the MX5; Colin Castle in the MX5; Peter Clegg in the Corsa: Sue Sutcliffe in her Corsa.
Monday brings the Malton MC 12 car starting in Scagglethorpe with Neil and Claire Raven; John Bird and Simon Bentley; Neil Paylor and James Greenhow; Adam Burkill with Harry Walshaw amongst the competitors.
Finally, on Wednesday running from Addingham is a round of the Skipton Trophy being run by Jane and Francis Tindall. We have a cracking 12 entries so far with Harry Forrest making his debut with dad Jamie. Theres still time to enter!
It’s great to see so many young people coming through the club competing in 4 different disciplines this week. Poppy, Adam, Toby and Harry I do hope you have a cracking year in motorsport and it is great to see some younger members out enjoying themselves competing in grassroots motorsport.
