There is lots of activity at the weekend with a variety of events to suit all members. On Saturday 15 March 2025 Knowldale car club have their John Clegg mini miglia, a touring assembly around Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria. Joining the wonderful scenery from the club are Dave and Beki Hedley in the Puma; Mark Stone and Karen Graham in the Panda; Paul Slingsby and Michael Fox in the Audi Quattro; David Taylor and Marilyn Smith in the 911.
Further away for the full weekend Salisbury & Shaftesbury Car Club are hosting the Palladwr HRCR event. Seeded at car 1 after a fantastic win in Cheshire are John Haygarth and Martyn Taylor in the Opel Kadett Rallye. Also competing are Paul Richards and Nick Cooper in the Ford Cortina mk1; David Crooks and Ian Mitchell in the Vauxhall Nova.
Also on Saturday is the Mini Cooper Register Northumberland Borders Rally starting in Alnwick. Competing from the club are Pete Ellerby and Iain Tullie; Andy Harrison and Henry Carr; Paul Crosby and Andy Pullan; Neil and Claire Raven; Bernie Watkins and Adam Roper. It’s an easy one this week as they are all in classic minis of various models and ages.
Overnight on Saturday Harlech and District MC are holding the Motorsport Tools Merfyn Hughes Memorial Rali Llyn in Gwynedd. Continuing their season of the Welsh rally championship are Peter King and Peter Scott in the BMW 318ti compact.
Sunday brings York MCs monthly autotest from Tolthorpe Airfield. Competing from the club are Neil Raven in an MX5, Pete Clegg in the Corsa, Claire Raven in the now tired Mini; Stephen Waddington in the Fiat Panda; Gary Wrigglesworth in the Alto and Colin Castle in the MX5.
Also on Sunday Dukeries MC are holding their Tegiwa rally at Donnington Park. From the club competing are Gary Carver and Ann Dixon in the Mitsubishi Colt.
