On Saturday 10th May 2025, there are loads of events over a variety of disciplines with club competitors up and down the country.
Hawick and Border Car Club are hosting the Border Counties Rally starting in Jedburgh competing from the club are Dave and Jamie Forrest in the Escort Mk2; Kris Hopkins and Colin Watson in the Rover SD1.
Also on Saturday is the BRSCC Nankang Tyres City Car Cup Round 2 at Oulton Park. Competing from the club as part of Team Fluffy are John Sykes, Ryan Middlemiss and Ben Spencer.
A busy weekend for David Mosey in the mini. He is at the BTRDA autotest in Hartlepool on Saturday and then The Nic Ayre Memorial BTRDA Autotest at Acaster on Sunday.
Old Forge Gremlin Historic Rally hosted by Brecon MC is starting in Talgarth. Competing from the club are John Haygarth and Martyn Taylor in the Opel Kadett Rallye; Steve Head and Iain Tullie in the Ford Escort RS; Darrell Staniforth and Henry Carr in the Toyota Corolla; Paul Richards and Nick Cooper in the Ford Cortina Mk1.
On Sunday 11 May 2025, starting in the show ground in Pateley Bridge the club are hosting the Yorkshire Classic Trial for cars and Motorcycles. A great team effort to run this spectacular event has been done by members of both Ilkley DMC and Airedale & Pennine MC. Many thanks in advance to the organisers and to all those who are helping on the day. Competing from the club are Mark Busfield and Simon Kingsley in the Trident; John Charles and Robin Charles in the Liege; Brian Colman and Maria O’Malley in the Dutton; Sam Oddy and Georgia Potter in the Suzuki Ignis together with new members that the event has attracted.
Also on Sunday, The Pendragon Stages and being held at Warcop ranges competing from the club are the Stephen Bethwaite and Ann Dixon in the Vauxhall Nova; Kyle Wilson and Mark Broadbent in the Mini Cooper S.
Wednesday 21 May 2025 is our first club night Car Trial of the year in the hands of team Raven. This is being held on the hills of Russell Farm, Leeds Road, Otley. Entries are open on www.motorclubmanager.co.uk. Please come along either to compete or marshal. Marshals can also sign on via motor club manager. We will be visiting The Bowling Green Public House, Otley afterwards.
