Ilkley Jubilee Historic Rally 2026 – Event Update Following the success of the new format introduced in 2025, planning is well underway for the 2026 Ilkley Jubilee Historic Rally, which will once again feature a Saturday evening sections followed by the traditional Sunday sections and tests. Saturday evening will make use of Otley Mills and the Grove Hill Social Club, before crews head into Otley Town Centre for the atmospheric ceremonial start. The evening section will conclude at CALSA, where you can enjoy some well-earned refreshments, with either pie & peas or pizza available. On Sunday morning, the rally will restart in the Wetherby area, where crews will tackle a full day of regularities along with a selection of excellent tests. The event will once again finish at Otley Golf Club, where competitors and marshals will be able to relax and enjoy a delicious carvery at the finish. The rally will run as the Ilkley Jubilee Historic Rally, and will include: • The HRCR Beginners Class The Jubilee Run, held under a Targa permit, allowing modern cars to take part using a no-plot roadbook format suitable for clubman competitors. This is the final round of the 2025/2026 Skipton Trophy championship based at The Smiths Arms at Beckwithshaw MR 104/267531 (what3words App = newly.billiard.cups) For those of you not familiar with a Scatter event it entails plotting a number of locations on a map, each with an easily identifiable question to answer. Each location has a points value which vary. You choose which locations to visit, in any order to get as many points as you can before returning to the pub within the time allowed. The crew with the most points wins. There will be a possible 36 locations to visit using maps 99 (bottom half) and 104 (top half). Of these 36 you should visit up to a maximum of 27. (Motorsport UK Regulation states ‘Competitors should be required to visit a number of points at random and no merit should be attached to visiting more than 75% of the points listed.’) Scrutineering from 6.30pm. Starting at any time between 7.00 and 8.00pm novice crews will be allowed 2.15hrs and expert crews 2.00hrs to get back to the pub, with anyone returning after 10.00pm being deemed out of time and incurring penalties. The two-day Interclub event will once again be part of the HRCR Clubmans Road Rally Championship for Historic Road Rally Cars. On Sunday we will be running the Ilkley Jubilee Targa Rally, open to all cars which comply with road rally regulations. On the Saturday evening, we will run the Ilkley Jubilee Challenge, which will run under a 12 Car rally permit and be open to all cars complying with navigational rally regulations. We have some new start and finish venues and have secured the use of Bramham Park, which has an extensive system of loose surface and tarmac roads, perfect for creating off road regularities, time control sections and special tests. The Interclub and 12 Car event will use traditional navigation techniques, with a variety of presentations. The navigation on the Targa Rally will use a tulip road book or descriptive instructions for all the public road sections. There will be no special tests on the Saturday evening. A Navigational regularity event suitable for all crews and it is not essential that cars have an accurate rally tripmeter. Navigational plotting for Novice crews will be issued before the event and for Expert crews will have one section issued at the start documentation with the remaining being plot and bash by using simple instructions but you will know where you are going for at least the first couple of miles beforehand. No speed tables required as each section will have its own cumulative speed table that will give your due time and distance at landmarks en route. Maps used will be 99, 92, 93 and a small portion of 98. We will be running an Interclub Historic Road Rally and an RS Clubmans Targa Rally. Welcome to the Ilkley Jubilee Historic and Targa Rally for 2023. Alongside the traditional Interclub Historic Rally we will also be running a Targa event for those who only hold RS clubmans licences. as well as histroric cars this will also be open to modern cars which comply with Road Rally regulations. The event will once again be starting from Leyburn on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, finishing at the Golf Club in Catterick Garrison. All being well and with the kind permission of the land Owners we will be using the military ranges near Catterick and the Farm land nearby. The compact route will be entirely on Map 99. Equipment required is the maps, a romer, pencil, torch, car and willing navigator! Great value motorsport for only £15. We have 3 grass fields to use on the evening BUT the venue is weather dependent as it can get extremely wet in parts.
