Looking at the weekend ahead. On Saturday 27th June 2026 there is the PK memorial road rally, held in Eryri National Park. Competing from the club are John Bird and Simon Bentley in the Ford Fiesta Focus ST170.
On Sunday 28th June 2026, there is Spadeadam MC Blue Streak Targa starting in Haltwhistle competing from the club are Peter Scott and John Pinder in the Suzuki Swift; Bernie Watkins and Adam Roper in the Vauxhall Cavalier.
Also on Sunday we have a full entry for the Ilkley Classic Car Run starting from The Inn, South Stainley and kindly organised by Kevin and Judith Goodings. This should be a fantastic drive out in sunshine, so plenty of sunscreen and fluids are required!
Next Club Event
The IDMC Classic Run will be taking place again this year on Sunday the 28th of June, starting and finishing from The Inn South Stainley. Note that hot drinks for two people at the start are included in the entry fee, but sandwiches are not included, however, breakfast items are available to purchase including vegetarian items if you so wish. The route is approximately 110 miles through North Yorkshire and uses scenic and interesting roads, many of which are well known to those who have Road Rallied in that area. There will be a halfway halt where food & drink can be purchased, or you may wish to bring a picnic if the weather is kind. Whilst the event is organised as a Run for those with Classic and interesting cars, there is no problem taking part in any vehicle.
