Looking at the weekend ahead; Thursday 23rd April is the start of the HERO Flying Scotsman rally. Competing from the club are Oliver Treutlein and Henry Carr in the Bentley 3 litre speed with a whopping 4500cc engine; Peter Kite and Ian Canavan in the Fraser Nash BMW 328 Roadstar. It is a gruelling four day and 600 mile event in pre – 1948 cars around the Aberdeen and Gleneagles area. We also have 3 teams of roving marshals supporting the event.
On Sunday 26th April at Cadwell Park is the Alan Healey Memorial Rally with Roger Priestnall and Jamie Forrest in the Suzuki Swift 2000; Simon Green and Andrew Thorpe in the Subaru Impreza Series McRae; Garry Carver and Ann Dixon in the Mitsubishi Colt; Jamie Wilson and John Pinder in the mini R53 mini cooper.

Other local events for the week ahead include on Monday 27th April, the Red Lion Car Club in Burley in Wharfedale are having their first car meet of the season from 6pm.
On Tuesday 28th April, theres is the Cullingworth car gathering at the Cullingworth Conservative Club from 6pm.

Next Club Event
This years Presidents Run has been organised by new committee member, Rob Waythe. It’s a 50 mile route starting at Dick Hudson’s pub, BD16 3BA, and takes you West before returning back to the Wheatley Arms in Ben Rhydding, LS29 8PW . Simple instructions to get you round to a well deserved drink at the end. As with last year there will be a £5 donation to the Presidents charity, Alzheimer's Society, for the road book and if you’d like to do the route another time, a copy can be sent out as well. Simply turn up between 7 and 8pm, make your donation and off you go to enjoy the route.
