Today is the start of Beatson’s Building Supplies Mull Rally hosted by Mull Car Club, which is part of the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship and the Scottish Rally Championship. There has been the annual pilgrimage north to the event by many to the closed road event over three days. Ilkley club members are enjoying supporting the very social event and I hope everyone has a great time.
On Saturday The Ken Wharton Memorial Autotest at the Peartree Inn & Country Hotel in Smite, Worcestershire. Representing England is David Mosey in his Mini saloon. This is an exciting event where teams from England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland compete in a test of driving skill, precision and speed against the clock.
There will be a Livestream on the hillclimb.tv youtube channel from 9.30am on Saturday 10 October. So Ive certainly got some screen time booked! Good luck David!
Sunday 11th October is the Kevin Ephraim Memorial TOYOTA Harlech Junior Stages 2026. This is a single venue junior stage rally held at Snowdonia Aerospace Centre in Gwynedd. Competing from the club is McKenzie Snowden and Robert Fagg in the VW Up!
Sunday is Wigton MC, Solway Targa and Historic Rally. A single venue event at Rowrah Kart Track, Cumbria. Competing from the club are Gavin Parry and Peter Clegg in the MX5; Bernie Watkins and Adam Roper in the Mazda 2.
Sunday is Yorkshire Wolds MC Autumn Wiggler. A popular classic car run, joining the fun are Gary Wrigglesworth and Leanne Jackson in the BMW Z4.
Sunday is York Motor Clubs monthly Clubday Autotest and PCA at Full Sutton from 10am. Ray Jude is always appreciative of any marshals so do sign up via Motorclub Manager if you can assist. Competing from the club are Sue Sutcliffe in the Vauxhall corsa; Stephen Waddington in the Hyundai i10; Eric and Nigel Poustie in the Ford Ka; Gary and Mandy Ross in the Ford Ka; Richard and James Eaton in the Peugeot 107; Neil Raven in the Mazda MX5; Christine Newlove in the Vauxhall Corsa.
Racing at Silverstone on Sunday in the Nankang Tyre Citycar Cup and student motorsport is John Sykes with Jelly Snake Motorsport Team in his Toyota Aygo.

Dont forget on Wednesday 14th October we have a Navigational Training Evening at the Red Lion Pub, Burley in Wharfedale from 8pm. This is a great opportunity to learn and develop map skills prior to the start of the Skipton Trophy. If you can, bring OS map 104, a romer and a pencil or two. There should be some you can borrow so still come and join in the fun, you will be warmly welcomed.
