This is a week where the volunteering heavily out weighs the competing.
On Saturday 19th September, club members are involved in the marshalling and competing on the Hero Challenge 3 rally in the yorkshire area. The club are marshaling test sites in Driffield. Competing from the club are Darell Staniforth and Henry Carr in the Toyota Corolla; John Clayton and Simon Bentley in the RS200. Good luck to the crews and my second pat on the back goes to the marshals.
On Saturday evening we have the Clitheroe DMC, Clitheronian Rally starting in Salmesbury. Competing from the club are Howard Chopping and Matt Chapman in the Mitsubishi Colt; Neil Raven and Adam Raven in the MX5; Daniel Poole and Peter Scott in the Proton Satria; John Bird and Simon Bentley in the Ford Focus ST170; Darren Ingram and Pete Jagger in the MG3. On Sunday club members are parking stewards for the Nidderdale Show. A role lead by Stan Peel to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and to show our appreciation for the use of the show ground for the Jubilee Rally and the Classic trial. Thank you to those of you who have given up your valuable time to support the event. A third pat on the back goes to these volunteers and I hope you enjoyed your hard earned Sunday Dinner.

Jane & Francis Tindall are organising this years Economy Run starting and finishing at the Esso Petrol Station, Bradford Road, Burley in Wharfedale, LS29 7PU. The event is open to ANY VEHICLE including hybrids – but is restricted to a maximum of 12 – so dont delay and get your entry in!!! Starting time is between 6.45pm – 7.30pm.
