Looking at the weekend events where we have club members competing. On Saturday 11th July the Nicky Grist stages are being held near Builth Wells in Powys. Competing from the club Nick Dobson and Phil Sandham in the Ford Escort Mk2; Dave Dobson and Graham Wild in the Opel Manta.
The Mach 1 junior stage rally is being held at Machrihanish Airbase, near Campbeltown on Saturday. Seeded number 1 is McKenzie Snowden and Robert Fagg in the VW Up.
With less competitive miles on Saturday is the Barbon Hill Climb at Kirkby Lonsdale competing from the club is Neil Raven in the Subaru Impreza WRX.
On Sunday, York MC have their monthly club autotest at Tholthorpe airfield. Competing from the club are Richard and James Eaton in the Peugeot 107; Neil Raven in the Mazda MX5; Dave Ruddock in the Mazda MX5; Stephen Waddington in the Hyundai i10; Gary and Mandy Ross in the Ford Ka; Ian Young in the mini special.
The entry list for next Wednesdays Autotest at Dransfield’s in Ilkley was filled with competitors very quickly. It should be a great evening. If anyone wants to come for a social drink afterwards we are meeting in the Lister Arms (‘Spoons) in Ilkley from 8.30pm. The event has a full entry, but a reserve list is open.
