It was a fabulous sunny evening for the Presidents Run on Wednesday with loads of familiar and new faces enjoying the run with the route prepared by Rob Waythe. The event raised £275.00 for Alzheimers Society. Thank you Rob it is always a big ask to run your first event; but it is also very rewarding.
Looking at the bank holiday weekend ahead we have loads of Ilkley crews migrating north for the Berwick Classic Rally. Competing from the club and Andy Lane and Iain Tullie in the mk2 MX5; Neil and Claire Raven in the Peugeot 205 Gti; Andy and Nick Pullan in the Peugeot 205 GT; Rikki Proffitt and Henry Carr in the Porsche 911 RS; Darren Everitt and Susan Dixon in the Triumph 2500 Mk1; Andrew Johnson and Dave Boyes in the Lancia Fulvia; Paul Richards and Nick Cooper in the Austin mini. There are tests and regulaities over two days and there is also an option for tests only, as a targa. A great event and I would recommend it to both newcomers and experienced ralliests.
On Saturday 2nd May; Bala DMC and holding the Disgarh Carl Trial at Disgarth Farn, Ty Nant Corwen, Wales. Competing from the club are John and Robin Charles in the Leige.
On Sunday 3th May; Owen Motorsport Group are hosting the Ernest Owen car trial at the Apley Estate, Telford. So its a busy weekend for trialing.
Karen Humphries 07808 833404 is still wanting more help with marshals on Sunday 10th May around the Pateley Bridge / Bolton Abbey area with the classic trial. There are plenty of roles still available and no experience needed. Theres no timing; just some post watching so do come forward and have a nice day in the countryside.
