There’s lots of motorsport activity this weekend and lots of preparation underway with the volunteers for the Roger Albert Clark rally which starts next week.
On Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November there is the Pentraeth Glyn Memorial Junior Stages at Anglesea circuit. Competing from the club are MacKenzie Snowden and Jonathan Turnbull in the VW Up.
On Sunday 16th November, Knutsford MC are holding their targa event at Parkside, Tong competing from the club are David Mosey and Louise Richardson in the Vauxhall Corsa; Peter Clegg and Sarah Clegg in the Vauxhall Corsa; Kevin Lomax and Toby Lomax in the MX5. Plenty of marshals are out from the club too.
Also on Sunday is Cadwell Stages Rally in Lincolnshire with Garry Carver and Ann Dixon competing in the Mitsubishi Colt.
The monthly club autotest is being held at Warren Philliskirk’s on A59 at Green Hammerton. Its just a small membership fee to join York MC and their will be some great tests on the site which was used on the Ilkley Jubilee Historic and Targa Rally. Entries are on MCN and competing from the club so far are Sue Sutcliffe, Richard Eaton, James Eaton, Stephen Waddington and Gary Wrigglesworth.

Next week the Roger Albert Clark Rally starts in Carmarthen on Wednesday. There are so many club members volunteering in various capacities for the five day event. Seeded at 76 from the club are Dave Forrest and Jamie Forrest in the Ford Escort. In the mini challenge element on Saturday we have Kyle Walker and Mark Broadbent in the Mini Cooper R53; Dave Ellis and Jamie Wilson in the Mini. It looks like it will be an epic event!
Don’t forget there is also the club scatter event on Wednesday starting at the Ing Pub in Guiseley which has been organised by team Clegg. Entries are on Motor Club Manager and it should be a cracking night. So get your entries in!
