After the biblical weather that the crews contended with last weekend whilst out competing, it looks like we have got some glorious autumnal sunshine ahead.
On Saturday 27th September there is the Trackrod historic cup being held in Dalby Forest with lots of Ilkley members out marshalling. Unfortunately the Ilkley stage of Langdale being cancelled due to the fires. Competing from the club are Dave and Jamie Forrest in the Ford Escort Mark 2; Kyle Wilson and Mark Broadbent in the Mini Cooper S R53.
In the Trackrod Forest Stages we have David Dobson and Brian Hodgson in the Opel Manta; Jonny Hepworth and Dave Boyes in the Ford Escort Mark 2.
Also over the weekend is the Patina national RTV trial in Cowling. Competing from the club is Adam Barker in the 1958 V8 Series 1 Land Rover. There will also be several early pre 1950 Series 1s competing and a few very famous historic Land Rovers.
And once again I’m making a plea for marshals for the Jubilee Rally on the evening of Saturday 18th October, daytime of Sunday 19th October. If you can only do a few hours we will still value your contribution and will find a role to suit.
