Wow! I think everyone is still buzzing from Wednesday nights club Autotest at Dransfield’s at Ilkley. We had over 20 marshals and 37 competitors. Some new competitors too, which just shows some further growth in the club and this fantastic sport. Toby Lomax certainly won the ”grins and spins” award.
There’s loads going on this weekend with events around the country. So here goes …
Starting on Friday 18 July 2025, for the full weekend there is the Hero-Era Summer Trial in the Shropshire countryside and surrounding areas. Competing from the club are Christian Brash and Dan Elphick in the MG B; Richard Broughton and Iain Tullie in the BMW 2002 Tii; Keith Davis and Henry Carr in the Peugeot 205 XS.
On Saturday 19 July 2025 there is the RSAC Scottish Rally 2025 forest rally based in Dumfries & Galloway. Competing from the club are Dave and Jamie Forrest in the Mk 2 Escort.
On Sunday 20 July there is the De Lacy targa rally on Catterick ranges. There are lots of club members supporting the event as marshals and car 0 (Dave Ruddock) Competing from the club are Neil and Claire Raven in the Peugeot 205GTI; David Mosey and Louise Richardson in the Vauxhall Corsa; John Haygarth and Bob Hargreaves in the Opel Kadett; Joe Mallinson and Jason Metcalfe in the Ford Fiesta; Andy Johnson and Dave Boyes in the Lancia Fulvia; Simon Jarvis and Pete Jagger in the Peugeot 106SXI.
Yorkshire Wolds MC are hosting their Wolds Wiggler classic car touring assembly on Sunday 20 July. Starting at Tibthorpe, Driffield. Enjoying the drive are Gary Wrigglesworth and Leanne Jackson in the MX5 icon; Christine Newlove in the VW Polo.
