A huge thank you to everyone who came along to tonight’s Ilkley And District Motor Club Awards presentation evening to celebrate a great year of club motorsport.
Sue Sutcliffe was on Tombola duty which raised £195 thanks to the generous gifts from club members and Sue and her manic sellotaping.
Chris Preston put on a fantastic display of the club trophies and had them all lined up to handed out to the award winners. This is Chris’s first year organising and presenting the awards and he’s done a superb job, with Susan saving part of the day with an emergency dash home for a missed box of trophies.
Sarah Clegg had a calming influence over the running of the presentation, both before and during the awards which is extremely appreciated as it’s quite a stressful time for all involved.
And I can confirm Claire Raven only sat down for the meal and that was it! She’s put an amazing amount of effort into making the night such a success.
A very generous donation from David Kelsall of a limited edition print of the Mk1 Escort of Timo Makinen was auctioned off for the presidents charity which added to the evenings entertainment. A brilliant team effort from everyone with the Otley Golf Club staff putting on a great meal and service.
