I have made arrangements to visit M-Sport’s headquarters which are located at Dovenby
Hall, near Cockermouth in Cumbria, England. The site, formerly a hospital, was extensively
renovated by Malcolm Wilson and features state-of-the-art workshops alongside the
historic manor house. M-Sport is a motorsport engineering and design company, best
known for its work in the World Rally Championship with Ford for the last 28 years, M Sport
has also designed, built and runs race cars for Bentley and recently embarked on a rally raid
Ford Ranger T1 for this year’s Dakar rally.
During your visit, you’ll have the chance to admire the beauty of Dovenby Hall Estate and
explore the team’s impressive trophy collections showcased in the boardroom. Additionally,
you’ll get to tour our state-of-the-art workshop and catch a glimpse of our renowned M-
Sport cars displayed in the showroom, alongside the memorabilia featured in our museum. Recently added to the facilities is a 2.5-kilometer test track, and office spaces.
The tour starts at 17:30 so you need to arrive from 17:00, if members could arrange
independent car sharing in groups on 4 or 5.
The event is open to all paid club members but
there is a fee of £30 per person that covers staff and security on site, entry will be via our
